Again.

I haven’t written in a while because somewhere along the lines I started believing the lie that my writing was not worth writing unless it was profound. This is in defiance of that lie. And I will keep writing in defiance of that lie.

I just have a simple thought right now.

Frodo never came back to the Shire. He left the only place he had ever known and loved – his heart drawn by adventure, risk, mystery, and heroism. Adventure swept he and his dear companions away, and with it came the great upheaval of his being, his perspective, his deepest heart. He emerged on the other side with new eyes, new ears, purer desires – the wonder of the homest place he had ever known, though still wonderful, was not enough in comparison to the terrible glory he had known. And he went on.

                        on and on and on.
